This sweet mama delivered her first baby several weeks early and he had to be born in a hospital setting. Although things went great in the hospital, she really hoped she could birth at home this time around. She was very worried this baby would also come too soon. Every birth is so different and we never know when babies will decide its time. This beautiful baby girl held on until after her due date and they got the home birth they had been hoping for. This beautiful mama pushed out baby number 4 so effortlessly, a few contractions by the fireplace and a few in the birth tub and then came a beautiful baby boy! Beautiful baby boy born at home in water to this sweet woman and her family. This family is so special to me. I was her moms midwife for her last two babies, her brothers midwife for his first baby just a couple months ago, and her aunts midwife for a baby several years ago. So grateful I was able to share in her first home birth experience. They did beautifully and this cute boy weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz.

This sweet woman and her husband planned an unassisted birth until she was 8 months pregnant. She then decided to have a midwife just because it was her first around. She labored for less than 2 hours and then called me to say her water had broke and she felt like she had to push.
